This is the stage of child motor development. Child"s neck muscle is getting stronger that allow to lift their body up to look around. It enable them to see different things around them, and they are able to pay attention to other things in their environment. They also able to reach and grip things. Gradually they might be able to crawl, so the motor development enable them to get to objects they interested in, which on the other hand, stimulate their development. Infant can manipulate their attention to the object: the challenge is infant-object-adult situation: it is hard for infants to attend to object and parent at the same time. When the interaction is so unsymmetrical, it wont last. Such as judge, it wont last long: when parents hand their child an object, the child put it into mouth or handing back to their parents.
