Attachment: child"s first relationship is generally referred to as an attachment: it is long and enduring. It"s life lasting relationship, it is emotional meaningful to individual. It is usually very strong and reciprocal: we usually talk about to the first life relationships with caregiver: distinction between attachment and attachment behavior. We talk about internal system that organize a child"s feelings there could be internal mechanism that is hard wired for us to be attach to other people. We differentiate terms of biological system and dyadic relationships. Attachment is characterized by: selectivity: focus on specific individuals. It is usually going to be limited number of individuals: seeking of physical proximity. The child is behaving in the manner that try to bring him or parent close to each other: provision of comfort and security: it could be physical but also could be psychological.
