What happens every lab: terminology, run the experiment, everything on the slides/handouts is testable. In the iat, we find out whether we have an unconscious bias about women in home and men at work. We will figure that out using reaction times. Iat is a relatively new technology to find out about memory and measure unconscious biases: then we go to the harvard website to measure our reaction times. So we run the harvard test and we write down what they tell us: we are going to replicate the harvard study with the utm version. This demonstration was created by jackson (2000) and is based on an actual study by hamilton and gifford (1979). You see power point slides of group a and group b and then rate each group from. People rate group a as more positive than group b. 26 slides with group a and 13 slides with group b.
