Perception is basically the understanding of what"s coming in. Perception: selection, organization, and interpretation of sensory input. Psychophysics: the study of how physical stimuli are translated into psychological experience. Sensation: sensory organs absorb energy from physical stimuli in the environment. Sensory receptors detect stimulus energies and convert them into neural impulses, which are sent to the brain.
