Motivation and emotion: motivation refers to the moving force that energizes behavior. Our ability to control our behavior after we have worked hard mentally hard. Going out to go get food to eat in order to survive. People starve all over the world die from starvation. We started to make things, tool making and beginning of art and music. What"s our motivation? we then learn to teach others our skills. One main motivation is fear of death, humiliation, disappointment, rejection. Fear comes up again, need to socialize fear of rejection and humiliation. Strength of motives changes with the motivation and situation. Different in intensity and needs, some of these are different with the interaction of genetics and environmental needs. Behavior are different with everyone, humans are different from animals our brain is just bigger we are not qualitatively different just quantitative. Humanist believe we all have a purpose in life and we have needs that needs to be fulfilled.
