On your tax plans, you talk about bringing people together but in some ways it seems it is divisive policy. You"re talking about taking money away from the rich. The fact that over the past generaion, median household income has stalled, increased by only 15 per cent when our gdp has more than doubled in size. It means that something isn"t working any more. And it goes to more than just an idea of redistribuion: but to help those middle-class families, you do have to redistribute money, yes, and that"s something we"re doing. We"re giving a -billion tax break to the middle class by asking those who have done very well to do a litle bit more.
