Culture is encompassed by patterns, symbols, ideas, products, values and behaviours of human groups, which distinguish us. High culture: individuals who are well educated and/or wealthy. Low culture: elements, such as sports, food, dress, manners and other habits, that have mass appeal to common people" who have less education and money. A set of learned interpretations that form the basis for cultural members to decide what is and what is not logical and correct. Peripheral: beliefs that relate to personal perceptions and tastes (e. g. ideas about the best way to learn a foreign language) Superstition: a belief, half-belief or practice for which there appears to be no rational substance. How an individual views god, the universe and the philosophical ideas of being or how a culture views its place in the cosmos and the nature of humanity. Are culturally-shared customs or rituals that have been passed down from one generation to another that can be both religious and non-religious.
