Document Summary

Continuation of last week: dslr optical diagram - how camera actually records info. Focusing screen: pentaprism, mirror, as light comes through, light blocked on mirror so it doesn"t go shutter + sensor. Light bouncing off mirror to pentaprism and comes out viewfinder eyepiece. Series of bounced or reflected images is what you are looking at image multiple prism - not looking directly through. Smaller resolution wil result in insufficient detail + higher resolution images will result in a larger file size, perhaps too large for particular use on the tps system. For tps purposes, 2 or 3 megapixels is fine: this file size delivers an excellent 5 x 7 print, which is our standard enlargement size for court, resolution, ppi, pixels per inch. Loss of sharpness as # of pixels decreased. Inability to see detail: creates lego effect, diff mediums require higher resolutions. Latest in image: sd card --> secure digital, card recovery.
