Document Summary
Physical evidence refers to any evidence that has size, shape, and dimension, can take any form and can be as large as a house or as small as a ibre. The types of physical evidence may be located and collected from the crime scene, or examined directly at the scene. Powerful, carries weight to a judge or jury: juries are expecting more and more from forensic investigators. Physical evidence can be broken down into three categories: trace evidence, biological evidence, everything else. Continuity and police seals are important, if there"s a break in the chain of custody the defense will jump on it. Many types of warrants/consent: might be working with consent, but some people may withdraw and then they need a warrant, what they"re looking for might change, this may require a diferent warrant.
