Framework of the law- definitions- cyberspace and the rule of law: electronic commerce: refers to commercial transactions of data (text, sound, images, and information). These transactions occur on the internet, and also occur on banking. Issues with these regulated laws: access to data (ownership of data for example by the internet, protection of data, protection of privacy (data owned and stored by the internet) Jurisdiction term comes from latin which refers to rights to administer justice within defined geographical area and subject matter. It refers to the question of who is responsible for making laws in a geographical area. Another example is gambling: who owns the server in the casino, the person who owns the casino.
