Document Summary
Ideology: a coherent set of social values, beliefs and meanings. The values, beliefs and meanings of the dominant class. Scared, immediate, highly skilled, mnemonic devices, dialogic, conservative, situational, homeostatic. We humans showed up about 60 000 years ago. We started writing about 5000 years ago. We did not write, we use to use pictures. Immediate: when you are in the moment you are talking it is very immediate. When we explain stories it becomes highly skilled, being a story teller back then you were highly skilled. They had mnemonic devices to remember stuff, such as the alphabet song (used modern day) but that is just an example. It is conservative, meaning that radical ideas are not encouraged. If you have a thought that does not fit in society then it is abnormal. Situational: it is about your immediate surroundings. **** on test: homeostatic: it means that your body is self- regulating.
