One of the most significant cultural and evolutionary transitions in human history. For the first 99. 5% of human history we depended exclusively on wild foods. But not almost 99% rely on domesticated plants and animals. Jomon has never fully developed into agricultural society. Domesication is the process wherby a population of living organisms is changed at the genetic level through generations of selective breeding to accentuate that benefit the interests of humans ( ex harvesting and edilibity) The product of domesiciation is that the organism become reliant/ dependent on humans for survival. Agriculture a commitment to this relationship with plants or animals. Archealogically it appears as a large proportion of domesicated species. Culivation - a cultural phenomenon that involves taking care of the growing planrs including preparing fields harvestinf and or storing seeds domesication - outcome. To fully domesicate must cultivate without wild specieis. Culitvation must come first humans must manipulate environment to lead to full domestication.
