The world would be a lot different if phenomena"s such as aliens and exorcism etc. exited. In our society, many people believe in ufos, superstitions, psychics, magic and spells. There is a general public belief of these things, even within universities were you would assume people/ students would be skeptical hence more educated. The public are generally more accepting of such claims, unaware that there is little scientific evidence. Authors often ignored the truths behind these beliefs. A pseudoscience is a set of ideas that are put forth as scientific when they are not scientific. Some pseudoscience claims rely on myths and legends for the claims to be valid. People are interested in archeology however; some people make unproven claims and discoveries. Motives for false claims: why the fascination in dubious (false) claims: money, people make alot of money b/c their claim captures the public"s attention and people are willing to pay money to visit museums and such.
