ANT210H5 Lecture 9: ANT210 – Jan 18th 2016 - Lecture 05
Document Summary
In today"s lecture we will speak to the author of our textbook: kenneth fedder. We have prepared some questions to ask him in class. No i haven"t but there are many students who fall for these frauds or hoaxes. He has a lot of favorite ones but his specific one is in chapter 3 where a farmer claimed to have found a ten ft. human being turned to stone in new york. They claimed he was a giant from before noah"s flood and started charging individuals to come and see this stone human. It was merely an atheist attempting to make money off of those who believed in religion. This was one of the funniest hoaxes he encountered. In the text you mentioned students should be taught how to think instead of what to think. In this enterprise, it is not merely what to know but how to think about it.
