Theories of popular culture: (mass & populists culture opposites) High culture is more valuable and enlightening than those who partake in popular culture which is argued to be mindless and partaking without questioning. Suggests that high culture is more valuable and enlightening and those who partake in popular culture. Popular culture then becomes a dumbed down version of high culture.
