Ambiguity: pop culture brings question of social class& identity (race, culture, lifestyle, gender, anthro doesn"t look at the works of art itself, (cid:271)ut how it"s a refle(cid:272)tion of a part of life. Contemporary popular culture: entertainment (referring to what the working population does when they"re not working) is one major category of pop culture. Entertainment provides a kind of narrative/ story for people. Internet: fashion is another huge area of pop culture. Fashion provides us with images that we can incorporate into our own (how we feel, how we display ourselves. Things that were marginal 30 yrs ago, are now widespread: news is the third major category of pop culture. Independent bloggers (recent: technology is the fourth area of pop culture. Vehicle (what you drive says more about you than where you live; cars create identity)
