The study of humans, past and present, to understand the complexity of cultures across all human history. Applies knowledge to solutions of human problems. Forms of anthropology: sociocultural, biological/physical, archaeology, and linguistics. We will begin with linguistics then move onto sociocultural because linguistic links to the rest of the forms. Says world isn"t divided into pious (religion) or superstitious (beliefs without rationale) ^^ people in the west think this way.
