Provide a visual reflection of the personality and nature of each character. Provides a visual information about the world of play including locale, period, as well as the play s socioeconomic, religious, and political environment. Budget (practical considerations ex- silk robe ( cheap material) Sheet with a sketch of a character in particular scene/act. Attaches fabric swatches of what the clothing will feel like (colour palate, for what colors mesh together, helps lighting designer to pick colors of gels based off of set and colour palate of costumes) If character where a lot of one man characters changes, lots of rendering changes. In collaboration with costume designer, is responsible for finding,making,fitting,renting or reparigin costumes for a production. Receives the designers and costumes list from designer. If the designer has no made a cosutm elist, crew head is resposibe for creating one. Check stock and determine which costumes will be found and which will have to be made.
