First truly synthetic plastic: used in phones, records, radios, early machine guns, coffins, necklaces, bracelets, lemon squeezers. Mineral, vegetable, animal the 3 kingdoms of nature. They served mankind for all ages, but now our modern industrial society finds them insufficient to fill all needs.
