Capitalism = people want to get money, but it is not modern rational capitalism. Modern rational capitalism: based on honesty and rationality. Capitalism exists everywhere in the world, modern capitalism was only developed under the protestants. But the idea that the origins of an economic ethic can be explained by social structure, as marx did, is rejected. Weber said that the remains of religion, law, politics, art and economics develop at uneven rates and along their own pathways and even when one domain develops another may be reduced in importance.
