Culture shock: personal disorientation that comes from encountering an unfamiliar way of life: people experience this when they immigrate to a new country. No cultural trait is inherently natural to humanity: what is natural to our species is the capacity to create and learn cultural traits. Only human beings rely on culture rather than instinct to survive; without it we would not be here. There is no such thing as an uncultured person. The components of culture: consists of a number of components, the rules we have, the languages we speak, the habits etc, 5 major components: This is because it has meaning: in order to see this you need to speak english, you also have to be able to write english. If you cannot do these things then it means nothing: our lives and cultures are saturated with symbol. A flashing red light, a clenched fist, etc. The human capacity to associate these meanings shows our culture.
