Canada is populated with people from many different ethnic backgrounds with many different religions, languages and customs. 250,000 people a year immigrate and make canada more diverse. Cultural diversity is most apparent with rst generation canadians but all people have different ethnic backgrounds. Most children begin to internalize the speci c values of their own ethnic group by the time they are 4 years old. Some ethnic groups are dominant, some are put in a minority position. There are differences and inequalities of all times - family structures, values, roles, status, prestige, wealth, access to resources. Jokes from the point of view of a minority group.
