Although canada"s education system ranks as one of the best in the world, the odds of an. Aboriginal student completing high school and graduating from university are nominal. Initially these issues may be attributed to the lack of personal characteristics such as intelligence, maturity, perseverance, motivation or even the ability to adapt to change. However a significant contributory factor to the reasons these students fail to reach or complete post-secondary education is rooted in complex historical and social failures.
