The general purpose of a liberal education is for life long learning and to think and to que. We are here to live a considered life, to be informed and to reflect on issues. The next level of thinking: to become a critical thinker. Critical thinking is everything, you become a nuanced thinker. You are thinking about things in depth, discovering higher tru think around things. Pursue truth as the highest good, pursue higher truths, tell people the truths. If you"re going to pursue truths, it is your responsibility to destroy and expose falsehoods everywhere through research and what you"ve found. Be a methodological agnostic , i. e. when you do research you don t prescribe to predeter ideas and beliefs, you report research whether it agrees with your personal beliefs or not. You have to "think the negative" you have to think of other possibilities to explain a phenomenon.
