Anorexia nervosa: fear of fatness, perceive themselves as fat, severe calorie restriction. Binge- eating disorder: recurrent binge eating ,but with no compensatory behavior. People with anorexia are normally 15% below the ideal weight, while people with bulimia are usually within the normal range. Increase in 5-9 year olds, but primary in the 15-19 year olds. Need to eat things that are not food: rumination disorder. Chew food, then split it out: avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (afrid) Resembles anorexia but individual don"t perceive themselves as fat.
