Mere-exposure effect the tendency to like a person more if we have been exposed to him or her repeatedly. Homophily the tendency to have contact with people who are equal in social status. Introverts and extroverts together in a relationship are more likely to clash. Matching phenomenon (assortative mating) more likely to choose mates based on matching characteristics between partners. More important for heterosexual men evaluating heterosexual women than any other combination. People are looking to find someone whose worth matches their own. Female resources are based on physical attractiveness while male resources are based on job status. People who are attractive are typically more popular, have more friends, are more successful in their love life, go on more dates, etc. (more evident in women)
