Breast cancer: treatments: radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, surgery. Lumpectomy, simple mastectomy and radical mastectomy (surgery in which breast and underlying muscle & lymph nodes are removed: can be psychologically traumatic. Cancer of the cervix: 95% cases caused by hpv, risk factors: early intercourse, multiple partners, curable in early stages, diagnosis - pap test, vaccination program in canada against hpv type #16,18, 6, Cancer of the prostate: most commonly diagnosed cancer in men, generally affecting older men (60 yrs+). As opposed to cancer of the testacles: symptoms: frequent urge to urinate, difficulty in urination, difficulty emptying the bladder, diagnosis: digital palpitation examination via rectum (men 40+ should have a yearly exam) and blood testing for psa levels. The stages are always in this order; length of time can vary in length. They concluded that our bodies reactions to sexual stimulation. Comes down to two physiological processes: vasocongestion: filling of blood in a certain area, myotonia: muscular tension.
