The ear: transforms vibration into nerve impulses, outer ear channels waves thru the auditory canal to the eardrum, causing it to vibrate. Txt book readings: hot (cold & warm spots) Smell: olfaction (smell) is intimate, we smell something when molecules of a substance reach a cluster of olfactory receptors at the top of each nasal cavity & the receptor alert the brain thru their bres.
