Document Summary

Prior to computers invention, we would have never talked about memory. We thought behaviorism was the right way and memory you can not see so it is not a concern of behaviorism. So after computers were invented, they have memory. We must always have an input (a stimulus) for a response. We have sensory memory, short term memory, and long term memory. Sensory memory is a fleeting glance of something. It gets into brain in the lower levels. It is like disconnect from sensory and perception. It wasn"t there long enough for us to consciously examine what it was. A quick glance of letters but don"t remember any of it. Icon is a very momentary thought of something as it preserves images of sensory information. Short term memory is encoding the thing and then in 20 minutes to tell what the things are. It is sitting and thinking something through and examining everything about it.
