Motivation are processes that give behavior its energy and direction. Motivation is directional, it can be away from something or toward something. Forces provide the direction away or toward and are in the person or environment. Internal motives are motivated naturally and biologically such as biological, psychological, and social needs. When you have a deficit, you want to go and fix that. Sometimes you can motivate people naturally from internal will so must give incentives such as reinforce or punish. We do stuff to try to get award. External events: a positive or negative environmental stimulus that motivates behavior via reward/punishment. Deficiency needs: if have deficit, you want to go and get it; A master motive or method needs it is maslow"s hiarchy of needs starting from the bottom and working up.
