Michael focault: individuals will exercise their power because they expect other human beings to behave in a certain way, resistance to power as a theoretical start point, and it analyzes why the power is exercised that way. Theres a resistance of free will, and just because its someone occupation or the way to school does not mean they should control you. Ex: medical: it"s immediate struggles and close to their daily life. Struggles focused on individualization and the right to be different: those who resist are demonstrating are removing themselves from the will , and are fighting because theres a variety of identities that are proposed to you. The relationship is initiated by the state : totalizing in the sense it wants to influence individual by individual, to shape you into a specific type. Therefore you become a predictable mass, because they have been educated into thinking a certain way.
