Violence brought a collapse in foundation of organised civilized life. Reckless audacity came to be considered came to be courage. Sneak attack on platea by traitors within the city. Proved to be a fundamental departure from the traditional character of war. Power in the land vs power in the seat. Personally free but subject of spartan control. Spartans didn"t need to work therefore were able to devote selves to military. Created a constitution that subordinated the family/person to the needs of the state. Were super disgustingly ableist- would abandon kids with disabilities. Not full citizen until the age of 30.
