Suicide the taking of ones own life is ungodly because it rejects gods gift of life. No man or woman should presume to take gods authority upon themselves to end his or her own life. Eastern religions: are open to suicide on conditions of intolerable pain or dishonour. Plato: permitted exceptions to the civil prohibitions against suicide for cases of extreme dishonour, self-administered capital punishment (socrates), painful disability and terminal disease, certain cases of infanticide, and voluntary euthanasia.
