Two things he is looking for in the essay questions: 1st show knowledge of the course material (state the positions), 2nd to answer the question that you have chosen- say something about it. Some questions are tied very closely to the course material and other questions have more room for thoughts and reflection. We are moral patients as well as moral agents. Non humans but with some exceptions are not moral agents, they are not able to understand morality, or being able to regulate their behavior under morality. White rejects the idea that we can be moral patients without being moral agents: he e(cid:373)phasizes the (cid:272)o(cid:374)(cid:272)ept f a (cid:862)right(cid:863).
