Progressive death metal: progressive rock mixed with metal and death metal, heavy ri s and distortions, layers and chaos, eg: opeth, demon of the fall, combines death metal with electronic & jazz components. Melodic death metal: driven by guitar melody, elements of death metal. Doom metal: some distorted, some clean vocal, very slow tempo, accents at the back of beats anxiety anticipation. Black metal: most raw and abrasive extreme metal genre, hypnotic and droning drum patters, creating a wall of noise, underproduced, death metal voice (but not deep) higher pitched/tortured, satanic lyrical themes. Atmospheric black metal: integrates hypnotic and repetitive elements of black metal with folk and classical sensibilities. Grindcore: draws o of extreme death metal and hardcore punk, distorted and down-tuned vocals, growling and shrieking villas, overdriven bass, high tempo and blast beats, growling and shrieking vocals, unintelligible vocals, lack of clear formal sections.
