Early miami pioneers: 2 live crew and dj magic mike. 2 live crew face down ass up (1990) Some artists melded miami bass with techno: increasingly fast: dirty south. Some refer to dirty south and southern rap interchangeably. Others use it to discuss a more specific brand of southern rap. Dirty south drew from both g-funk and 2 live crew"s dirty traditions. The style drew its name from goodie mob"s 1995 song of the same name. G-funk elements: synthesized bassline, groove, slower laidback beat, higher pitched synthesized interjections o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o: southern (message) rap.
