Quick paradigm shift depending on who is dominating the culture (in turn dominates the belief system). History: general views of 8th century greek healers ( seers towards disease ) Traditional values were followed, with no information regarding its development or existence. At this time, jesus did not yet exist. The overseers of the medical belief system are the. Seers (pro ts) who would look up to the sky and judge the potential future outcomes. They tried to predict behaviours based on patterns they saw, and kept these predictions broad (not speci c) so if they had similar predictions they could take credit. Ie. saw the pattern for a ight of birds, meant a famine was coming. These individuals conceived this process was scienti c (cause and effect). Repeat the same mantra from what was previously taught: general views of 5th century greek physicians towards healing. This century believed in hippocratic tradition, establishing medicine as a listing profession.
