What is socioeconomic statuses (ses: some kind of combination of one, two, or three of: Income: education, social class, measuring ses is complicated. Lawyers, doctors, engineers, etc: lower middle class, the bulk of the middle class, blue collar workers, record keepers, clerical staff, lower class, working full time, but beneath the poverty line, chronically unemployed. Unskilled occupations: this is only based on occupation. So fails to measure those who do not work: developed in 1913 and renamed in 1990. List of 800 occupations: prestige = respect and admiration that (an occupation) holds in society, physicians at the top of the list. Blishen scale: derived statistically from sample data, ses score = (a x income) + (b x education) + (c x occupational rank)
