Methods of first trimester abortion: aspiration abortion: Electric vacuum aspiration (eva: aspiration procedure: cannula is inserted into the uterus, uterine contents are emptied through suction. Aspiration can be used throughout the rst trimester and is highly effective (>99%) in terminating pregnancy. 3 doses (800 mcg each), 3 to 12 hours apart administered vaginally, sublingually, or buccally.
