This occurs when the fragment is lacking either a subject ( played it constantly. ) or a verb ( millions of sites on the web ), or when there is only a subordinate clause and no main clause ( because i needed some eggs. ) I just used what was there. this is also a problem with compound sentences. Or what problem were they created to address: brainstorming and "freewriting" on the topic. Imagine different positions or perspectives on the topic: a topic can lead to an issue or controversy. Economy: all essays involve analysis, learning how to analyze is an ongoing process of developing and mastering the analytical tools or concepts tools you will learn in your various disciplines.
