Sought to protect families, but if they failed, children should be taken away: to be educated by the "victorian" ethic. "victorian" ethic/morality/social order: known as the ideology of domesticity or ideology of the separate spheres, society is competitive. Less vulnerable to the immorality of the public sphere: will be able to protect the morality of men, puts a lot of stress on the individual, primarily responsible for themselves, cause of poverty is due to individual failings. Family, as the other social institution, responsible for morality, must be "protected. : encouraged to play this role of instilling morality, otherwise, children must be taken away. (193, 202).
