Galena: this sample had a silver lead gray colour with a shiny metallic luster. High density makes this sample particularly heavy as well. Left a dark grey streak on the porcelain plate. Sphalerite: this sample had an earthy/brown colour with a resinous to submetallic luster. It had a light brown streak and was easily scratched by the metal nail.
