Structural violence: certain groups are discriminated against through social, political and economic system. Symbolizes the ways in which strong states and economic actor can achieve their will over weaker countries, classes, groups, and individuals without recourse of weapons. Unequal power relations and unequal distribution of resources. Cultural violence: deeply ingrained attitudes and beliefs that justify the necessity of violence. Direct violence: use of threat of physical force or verbal attacks.
