Nouns: a noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or an idea. A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. Antecedent: usually the pronoun substitutes for a specific noun, known as its antecedent. The verb of a sentence usually expresses action (jump, think) or being (is, become). Adverb: an adjective is a word used to modify, or describe, a noun or pronoun. Adjective: an adverb is a word used to modify, or qualify, a verb (or verbal), an adjective, or another adverb. Preposition: a preposition is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to form a phrase modifying another word in the sentence. Conjunction: conjunctions join words, phrases, or clauses, and they indicate the relation between the elements joined.
