H: maybe i"d be lucky to sell a book to hollywood. Hubbell wants to pursue a career as a screenwriter however, katie thinks he is wasting his talent and encourages him to go into a more serious area of writing. Hubbell wants to sell his novel to hollywood so it can be adapted as a movie but katie is reluctant to agree with the idea because she believes it will lose its authenticity. This creates tension in katie and hubbell"s relationship because katie believes in hubbell"s highest potential but he only exerts some of it. Katie and hubbell end up arguing at a party. To enhance this scene of conflict, the camera zooms in towards katie and hubbell arguing with the chatter of others in the background.
