We can"t understand who we are without communication within and without. Newness of taylor is that he favours post-romantic scholarship. Societies formed by the liberal perspective are empty of any kind of opportunity for people to express themselves as di erent people. Not biological di erence but cultural, religious, ethnic di erence. We need to move from the abstract scholarship of liberalism and move toward creating an environment that could recognize the equality of the di erence: equal in di erence. Dialogue is needed between the di erent others: dialogue means a full edged engagement in all dimensions of life, we become a we" but remain di erent from each other.
