The twin streams of the discipline of criminology: criminals, crime, justice, A rendezvous point for many disciplines, providing unique perspectives (which incudes their strengths and liabilities) on issues of crime, criminality, criminal justice, security, and public safety. Also known as body of knowledge regarding crime as a social phenomenon including the process of making laws, breaking laws, and reacting to the breaking of laws. Objective is the development of a body of general and verified principles and of other types of knowledge regarding this process of law, crime, and treatment. Criminology does not have a distinct way of studying it, unlike science there are many modern criminologists (meaning that they believe in the scientific methods to find the definitive truth) Science is deductive (testing procedures based on observed data with the objective of improving theories predictive power) and some criminologists feel that this is the best way to find the reality of criminal justice.
