One method may however be better suited to answer a question. Method should be selected because it helps the researcher answer hypotheses and research questions. Provide useful informations for describing, understanding, and explaining human communication behaviour. Needed to develop complete picture of communication. Research process depends on your abilities to search for and track down information. Preserves the form and content of interaction. Analyzed for its qualities - empirical, inductive, and interpretive. Explanations and theories emerge from the data. Propositions formulated continuously throughout the data collection and data analysis process. Provides information about those who cannot or will not speak for themselves. Wide variety of questions can be asked about many communication phenomena. Examine if , how , and to what degree phenomena are related.
