The crtc does ensure competition among internet service providers, it does not regulate retail rates, marketing, billing, etc. Crtc does not regulate internet content because consumers can already control access to unsuitable material on the internet using filtering software. This results in content distributors like netflix being able to offer their services to. Canadians without being subjected to the same types of regulations as conventional broadcasters. What: creating a national conversation by publicly consulting canadians on their needs, expectations and opinions regarding broadcasting. This now also includes media companies and interest groups being invited to submit their opinions.
