Document Summary
Unveiled in 1926 by john baird in scotland. Following this demonstration he developed a colour version and brought out the first world"s first mass-produced television set in 1929. His mechanical tv was outstripped by the electronic television in the 1920s. This didn"t deter baird, who continued to work in tv innovation and eventually gave the first demonstration of a fully electronic colour tv in 1944. Original tvs were analog, and have been in the process of being shut down around the world since the late 2000s, and are expected to be completely replaced by digital television by the year 2021. Types of broadcasting distribution undertakings (bdus) (1) cable: the delivery of television services through a network of optical fibre and/or coaxial cables. Cable and dth satellite service have been on a slow, but steady, trend of decline since 2010: revenue percentages for bdu service providers. Note: as of 2015, most canadians still watch television by traditional means (over-the-air, cable, satellite)
